Vitamins

Vitamins are organic essential substances we find in food, that our body needs to grow, develop and properly function.

The most commonly known vitamins are  A, C, D, E, and K, and the B vitamins: thiamin (B1), riboflavin (B2), niacin (B3), pantothenic acid (B5), pyridoxal (B6), cobalamin (B12), biotin (called vitamin B7 or vitamin H), and folate (folic acid).

Our body uses some vitamins for a single function, while other vitamins serve multiple body functions. Vitamins deficiency can lead to a variety of health problems. There are chemical tests (recommended by doctors) to determine if there is a vitamin deficiency in our bodies.
